Writing Out Loud was written as a final report requirement in 1997 for a provincially and federally funded literacy and life skills project called Chapters. Five years and over 1000 copies later, Writing Out Loud has expanded into a fully published book, an exciting online training program and the framework for a variety of writing workshops. In spring 2002, we were proud to launch More Writing Out Loud. This book is a compilation of the learning that took place during the first session of Writing Out Loud Instructors training in the winter of 2000/2001. Packed full of new exercises and insights from newly trained Instructors from across Canada, this book answers many questions that instructors have about teaching and understanding the process of writing.
